Managing safely is a flexible course for managers and supervisors in any sector, in any organisation. The IOSH Managing Safely course provides an excellent foundation for managers and leaders to understand their responsibilities and actions required to impact health and safety in their organisations.
Managing safely won’t turn learners into instant health and safety experts, however, it will provide the knowledge and tools in order to understand and influence the health and safety elements they’re responsible for. Most importantly, it brings home why health and safety must be such an essential part of work place culture.
The IOSH Managing Safely is delivered under the guidance of our dedicated tutors, either in a classroom or remote virtual setting, helping you learn in a style which is most convenient and suitable to your needs.

You must have a good understanding of the English Language.
You will need a desktop computer or laptop with a camera function or webcam. You will also need reliable internet connection.
The minimum requirements for remote course delivery are:
- Operating system: Windows, Apple or Android
- Processor: 3 GHz
- RAM: 2 GB
- Broadband speed: 512 kbps
- Screen resolution: 1024 by 768
- The most recent version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Safari
- It is strongly recommended that you have more than one monitor or display to sit this course, this will support in viewing the online course teaching material as well as the tutor led presentation.

The IOSH Managing Safely is a life-long qualification, however a refresher course every 3-5 years is highly recommended, to ensure learners maintain current knowledge on best practice and legislation.
