Power Press Safety
This training aims to provide power press users with the awareness required to safely operate the machinery. Power presses generally fall in to the category of high risk equipment as when accidents do occur they are likely to be severe.
This course has been developed in line with The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) 1998 to contribute towards an operators competence when maintaining, setting up and inspecting power presses.
Given the varying and specific nature of each power press this training is designed to be carried out on site, using your equipment. Prior to the scheduled delivery of training an experience tutor will contact you to establish any unique learning outcomes required by your organisation, in addition to establishing what equipment you use to ensure that you receive the best possible service, specific to your needs.
- Health and Safety Legislation (PUWER 1998)

In addition to raising the health and safety awareness around the operation of power presses, this training will also help to prevent and reduce any accidents in the workplace which arise from the use of the power press. As the training can be completed for groups it also acts to set out a list of approved users within your organisation that may be considered competent to use the equipment.
Multiple Choice Exam Paper
Training is recommended on induction for new users, on the introduction of any new power press machinery and to be refreshed every 3 years.
