COURSE INTRODUCTION

The NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety is the ideal qualification for any health and safety professional. It offers a natural progression route for any candidate that has completed the NEBOSH General Certificate.

Through this qualification candidates will develop core health and safety knowledge to be applied across a wide array of industries.

This qualification is currently only available via eLearning. Due to the duration of the qualification this allows each student to learn at their own pace.

COURSE PRE-REQUISITES

No formal prerequisites are set for this qualification. Candidates should consider that the NEBOSH Diploma is a professional level qualification, considered by many in line with a universtiy degree. 

Prior completion of the NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent qualification is highly recommended

COURSE BENEFITS

This qualification comes highly recommended for anybody that wishes to persue a career as a health and safety professional. Completion of this qualification offers an opportunity to acheive a Graduate membership status with IOSH (GradIOSH) from which, with continual exeperience, CPD and peer review can lead to Chartership (CMIOSH).

With over half of the roles advertised requiring GradIOSH Status, some even quoting this qualification as a prerequisite; potential applicants should be considered essential.

ASSESSMENT METHOD

Units A, B and C are individually assessed via three-hour written examinations. Each exam consists of 2 parts; one mandatory and another where students may select 3 of 5 available questions to answer. 

Unit D is assessed via project work. Students must complete this assignment (typically 8,000 words) to demonstrate their knowledge and undertanding of the application of health and safety theory.
