Dementia & Alzheimer's Awareness
There are currently over 850,000 people in the UK living with Dementia, and numbers are increasing year on year. This course is aimed as an introduction for care workers and has a special focus on Alzheimer’s disease, which is the greatest cause of dementia worldwide.

Dementia and in particular Alzheimer's has become an increasing issue in all areas of care work. It is important that all carers and staff in a care environment are made aware of the effects of dementia on the service users and how to help manage them to the benefit of the affected person.
